Unlike the oil, which is simply extracted from the coconut, coconut butter is produced by blending all parts of the fruit, including the flesh. Coconut butter contains fiber, potassium, magnesium, and iron in addition to fat. Let’s explore some of its top qualities:
The Many Health Benefits of Coconut Butter:
Coconut butter is am excellent source of lauric acid, which works to boost immunity and destroy harmful bacteria, viruses and fungi.
It also helps with weight loss by increasing your metabolism. Having a fast metabolism allows your body to break up the food you eat much quicker, which then gives you more energy and allows you to burn more calories.
Coconut butter is also rich in healthy fats that your body uses as energy as opposed to storage. This fat keeps you feeling full longer, thus curbing your appetite.
Coconut butter also helps you look good, as it protects against free radicals that may be damaging to the skin. It’s also a great moisturizer since it can penetrate deep layers of skin, strengthening the tissues. Furthermore, coconut butter can even help you reduce the look of aging by improving your skin’s elasticity.
Blood sugar levels can harm or help your weight. Having high blood sugar levels makes it harder for your body to break it all down, causing excess sugar to be stored as fat. Coconut butter works to stabilize blood sugar. Adding coconut butter into your diet can promote a lower glycemic index that keeps blood sugar levels from spiking.
The Many Ways You Can Use Coconut Butter
Coconut butter can be added to a wide variety of foods. Rich in flavor and very easy to incorporate in a meal, snack or drink, it’s a delicious additive that will help you shed pounds while providing your body and brain with numerous health benefits. Here are just a few ways to enjoy it:
1. Spooned right out of the jar
2. Melted and poured over a sweet potato or winter squash
3. Used in a curry dish or stir fry

6. Drizzled melted over berries or other fruit in a bowl

1) Everyone knows green smoothies are healthy right? Have you heard of a “red” smoothie? If not, check out this story…
2) Forget what you've read about 10-day lemonade cleanses, 7-day detoxes with green juices and Gwyneth's gruel. All you need to do, and this is perfect for Saturday or or anytime really, is a simple 1-day cleanse.
3) This “hidden survival muscle” in your body will boost your energy levels, immune system, sexual function, strength and athletic performance when unlocked.
4) I thought it was virtually impossible for a website to be able to tell me anything even a little bit insightful after only submitting my name and date of birth... I was wrong!
5) Turmeric is amazing. The problem is - It's hard to absorb!
6) Wonder why your stomach still sticks out even though you're hammering the core exercises every day? It's a common myth that bulging belly is due to weak abdominal muscles.
7) Even if you're the most active of athletes, you may still suffer from tight hip flexors due to the amount of time you spend each day planted to a chair.
Enjoy! Let me know how these work out for you. And if you run across anything I've missed please let me know.
