Research has shown that there are low rates of certain types of cancer in countries where people eat curcumin at levels of about 100 to 200 mg a day over long periods of time. Some studies have shown that curcumin helps prevent several forms of cancer including breast, lung, stomach, liver, and colon because of its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
How can you get more turmeric in your diet
Morning shot: Try a simple lemon shot in the morning. Shots are quick hits of concentrated nutrition! One of my go to shots is freshly ground ginger, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, turmeric and black pepper. Although the quantity of liquid is small, it’s potent, it will give you a burst of energy almost immediately. I personally like to add organic maple syrup for some sweetness, enjoy warm or cold.
Spice up your meals: Spice up your dinners with Indian or Thai inspired curry dishes. Whether you get turmeric from a supplement or use it to spice up your food, you will be on the road to optimum health and feeling great. I like to add some turmeric to my scrambled eggs in the morning, the taste is pretty mild. Don’t forget to add black pepper to get the super benefits!
