Water makes up about two-thirds of your body weight, and a person cannot survive without water for more than a few days. Every cell, organ and tissue in the body depends on water. Water help’s maintain weight, brighten skin, aids in digestion, energizes our muscles and lubricates are joints.
On average we should be drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day, on the average people drink 1-2 cups a day. Not drinking enough water can lead to dehydration. Many people are unaware when their body lacks adequate water. Understanding the signs of dehydration will help you know when you need to boost your water intake.
5 common signs your body needs water
1. Dry Mouth
Believe it or not, feeling thirsty for water is a sign that you are already slightly dehydrated. A dry mouth often occurs with thirst and signifies that the mucus membranes in the body need hydration. Drinking water lubricates the mucus membranes in your mouth and throat, which will continue to keep your mouth moist with saliva long after that first sip. The only way to resolve thirst and a dry mouth is to drink water throughout the day.
2. You Feel Dizzy
Since blood is mainly made of water, dehydration also causes a drop in blood pressure. When you have low blood pressure, you can start feeling wobbly.
3. Your skin is Dry
If your skin feels dry and has lost some of its elasticity, this can signal you’re dehydrated. Drinking water can help you maintain your youthful appearance and keeps the skin healthy and shining.
4. Your Urine is Dark
The color of your urine is a good indicator of your health. Dark Yellow urine is often a sign of not drinking enough water. When you drink sufficient amounts of water, your urine is pale yellow. If you notice a temporary change in urine color, first consider if you’ve consumed something that would alter the color of your urine, for example Vitamins or beets. If that is not the case increase your water intake and observe if your urine color becomes lighter.
5. Brain Fog
It’s not uncommon to have cognitive difficulties when you haven’t drank enough water. Brain is made 90% of water and brain cells and nerves react badly to water loss. You can start feeling sluggish, and experience problems with concentration and memory.
Many drinks we consume can cause dehydration include alcohol, energy drinks, and even caffeine as it has a slight diuretic effect. Try avoiding these types of drinks if you are dehydrated. If you’re having a hard time getting all your water in, start taking a water bottle with you, set an alarm to refill throughout the day until you hit your goal of 8-10 glasses. If you don’t love plain water, jazz it up by adding some fresh fruit. Another helpful hint; Sip more during meals. Sipping water with meals will help you eat more slowly and of course stay hydrated. Try to be mindful of your water, the key to preventing dehydration is to drink plenty of water throughout the day, cheers to your health!

5) Turmeric is amazing. The problem is - It's hard to absorb!
6) Wonder why your stomach still sticks out even though you're hammering the core exercises every day? It's a common myth that bulging belly is due to weak abdominal muscles.
7) Even if you're the most active of athletes, you may still suffer from tight hip flexors due to the amount of time you spend each day planted to a chair.
Enjoy! Let me know how these work out for you. And if you run across anything I've missed please let me know.
